We are updating our shop and recently looked at a product from a company called TIPTIG USA. The use the Hotwire TIG process. I can't find much information or if there are other companies with similiar processes. The ability to automate TIG is great. The cost is well worth it if it works. Any information on TIPTIG or especially another company that does it would be appreciated. Thanks PhelandLucas@cylx.net

The company I work does do some automated tig on some of the large pipe and also thin fusion stuff. It works OK but to be honest I manually weld the large pipes cause more times than not we have to fix the auto welded stuff. It work better for the fusion stuff but still one of spends a hour a day fixing the skips from the auto welder. In my opinion nothing beats a skilled welder
