Just got a tip tig in the shop, I hadn't even heard of it two weeks ago, but it's awesome so far! It's just going to take some getting used to as far as the weight compared to my 150 amp rig. We're prefabbing a bunch of piping for hydronics on a new power plant for the city, boss bought it hoping to speed us up, we can't 2 pass it (like we would otherwise since it's only a 28 pound system), but since the power company got screwed by their previous welders, every weld has to pass to pass x-ray. My 2nd weld with it after getting the wire feed and amps down was nice, but I definitely got the ol death grip back on it, my forearm was killing me!

Any thoughts on tip tig, or pointers?

I have a cold wire feeder by CK, not familiar with what looks to be a Hot wire feeder. Should be sweet once you get it figured out.. What model did you guys get?
