Pad using E7018

Flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead i am having small issues with vertical they arent looking very consistent this is my first year at welding school in high school and just looking for advice

Looks pretty nice to me for a vertical, especially if thats your 1st layer vertical.
How many hours of practice do you have in training now ?

Im not sure how many hours but i started welding in may of last year

This is one i finished about a hr ago 4 beads flat 4 horizontal 4 vertical then 4 oberhead and repeat the process untill the pad is finished

Dude, your to hard on yourself.....
Those pads look great.
Your ready to move onto T-joints.

Thanks I appreciate it. I will probably move on to it soon my instructor wants me to keep on that for a state welding compition

For vertical it looks pretty good...BTW, is the pic upside down or were you travelling vertical down?
