i have no idea really i know there 115,000 PSI tensile Hardness of Rc28 and are able to to multipass

they are also low hydrogen and are a ideal base for hard surfacing , and can be built upto heavy thickness with out cracking

but there composistion is close to hobarts M-932

but beonde that i really dont know exactly what they are..

I think you answered your own question. They are a transition rod between, say, a36 carbon steel and a true hard-facing. Build as much as you want at a medium hardness, then put a few layers of the hard stuff on top. The transition between the a36 and Haynes won't crack for their similarities, and the transition between your Haynes and a serious high-Rockwell rod won't crack for the same reason.

This is not gospel. This is guesswork.
