When metal working always wear safety glasses. Even clear glasses will help prevent accidentally flashing eye burns. Safety first.

Just today laying underneath a dozer doing some stick repairs and accidentally touch the rod on the skid plate when changing rods. oops

Oh yeah position work when there's no where near enough room and you think if I just get my arm around to over there. And then blamo. Arc the shit out of a scratch start rig and have to climb all the way back out for a toungsten change with a temporary blind spot.
