I have decided on a miller thunderbolt 225v ac/dc stick welder. How can I check that the machine is functional?
Other than putting a meter on it, get some rod and burn away. Get some 5/32 rod and crank it up.

Thanks for the quick, helpful responses. I’ve learned more in the last 4 posts than 2 weeks of thumbing through a welding text book I got from the public library!
