This isn't a personal review of any sort, but rather a question to any WTAT member that may have possibly purchased and/or used the Alloweld lens.

I was thinking of purchasing the 2x4.25 lens, but my interests are stuck on pairing their Super Magenta Drop In with the Fibre Metal Pipeliner standard Amber/Orange lens.

If anybody has used the Alloweld, Can you please give me a your opinion on it.

I use the Alloweld for stick welding and love them. They are heavy for a 2x4 lens, but that is the only downside besides cost. I suspect if/when you try one your weld puddle will look very similar to the arc shots on many videos. The didymium (sp?) glass cancels out the sodium flare... all that nasty flame and fire. Pass on the plastic filters in my opinion and spend the money on high quality glass. If I don't have an original American Optics Weld Cool lens in my hood, I have a Phillips Safety Alloweld.
Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.
