So I've had a multimatic 200 for a few years now. I must say this machine does a great job. Why don't I see a lot of feedback on this machine on the web like I do with other similar machines? Is it too high on the price? Im not a pro but it mig welds like a dream. Runs 1/8 7018 all day on 220. Any thoughts?

It seems to me that Miller tried to hard to make the 200 light so it got expensive and Lincoln came along and built a machine that was a little more powerful and a lot cheaper. And with the Lincoln they gave rebates to make it cheaper and you could buy a tig rig for it for the same price as the base price of the Miller.

Good points.. I almost wish I waited and saved a few dollars but so far I have no complaints here. Its awesome to have machines out there so versatile.

JimmyJohn... you are correct! The 200 is a great machine and unfortunately doesn't get the respect it deserves since a host of new and cheaper machines came out. I personally have run the 200 for days on end and on some pretty big projects without a hiccup. Not many welders earn a place in my shop, the MultiMatic 200 deserves what little recognition it gets!

it seems like a great little welder.

Judging from the pics, it looks like the air cooled model

It came from a school but seems to work fine after replacing the caps. I was told they no longer had those caps but said the 250's would fit and would run smoother, or ths guy has those caps used but wants $100.00 apiece or the 6 pack new for $300.00.
