Hello. I was wondering if some of you guys could help me?
I have not had to much experiance tig welding pipe, prefer stick.
but i got a possible job and they want me to tig weld pipe.
having a little trouble finding that sweet spot in the settings and i have limited material
Its would be greatly appreciated if you could help me out
The test is tig root 7018 fill and cap
im practicing for it and i have been using
3/32root opening(slightly less)
3/32 carbon steel filler
1/8 7018
i believe for the tig portion i have been running about 90 amps
does that sound right? Should i go more less? I just want an idea so i dont waste material blowing holes.
or not getting penetration.
Any tips would ne greatly appreciated. Trying to get in to the nuclear feild.
