Laser operator?

Hey guys I was wondering if there are any laser operators or owner here? I am having some issues cutting 1/2" holes in 1/2" plate without welding it on the back.

Okay I got it figured out with the peck function. Has anyone had luck power piercing through 1/2"? How long dose it take you to pierce 1/2"?

I'm fairly sure there are one or two other members with laser experience, but it may take a bit to see a reply, as a good bit of our membership visits weekly or less.
Bump the topic every now and then, and someone will surely comment.

Will do thanks, I got my 1/8" hole looking great going though 1/2" plate.
