I am a hobbyist aluminum Tig and have been at it for about 2 years now...This forum and Jody's tips are a must.

With that said, I want to start bending 1"-1 1/4" aluminum tube .125 wall. I bought the Harbor Freight Bender and don't really know much about it as the attendant in HF said it would bend it. After doing some research, it appears that you need a special die and can't use the one's that came with it?

Any input is appreciated. Do I need to take this back or is there a more cost effective alternative. Keep in mind this is a hobby and I am not going to be making any income from this.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to our little corner of the world Buggy Chief.

AS you found out the HF bender does not come with 1-1/4" dies. I don't know of a source for them but someone will come alone that may know of one.
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
