Been around the mechanical/electrical trades since the 60's when my walker was getting hung up on leads in my Dad's shop. Passed my first Section IX 6G when I was 16 with my Grandad over my shoulder every step of the way. My evening job in High School was re-tubing/replacing electrical controls on fire tube boilers we took in on trade.
Been a long time fan of this site. I have done some teaching over the years at local community colleges for extra cash when the kids were young and wished the internet was available back then. Over the last few years it has been easier just to give the newbies the link to Welding Tips and Tricks and tell them to go home and watch Jody.
