TIG became a hobby for me because I could not afford to continue to pay someone else to do my fabrication on my cars or the repairs on my motorcycles. I retired last year and moved to Thailand (The Kingdom of Smiles). Electricity here is 220 volt and 50 cycle, so none of my welders or plasma cutter will work here. I am still waiting for my house construction to be completed and when it is I will buy a TIG and plasma cutter. Where I live the roads are shitty so I will not build another car, but the area offers many great places to ride an enduro motorcycle. I am waiting for my Works honda powered by a Kx500 to arrive. I will sells my Honda Cr500 and my Husky OR 390, still in the U S.
My welding experience consisted of fabing exhaust, brackets numerous motorcycle repairs and welding a magnesium case.
