at first, sorry for my bad grammar, not used to type in english that often
yes, i'm a girl and i got introduced in the wonderfull world of welding,
let's start from the beginning.
for my exam i had to weld a little piece ( can't really remember what i had to weld), and i never even had a torch in my hand. my teacher didn't want to teach me (don't ask ) so i asked my dad, since then he let me watch the youtube clips from welding tips and tricks, he said that he would teach me and we got started, he has a little hobby stick weld machine and i had no idea what to expect. when i lit the stick for the first time, the spark flew over to me and reached my heart, when i reached the time to do my exam i noticed the machine was different, (MIG) i got so nervous that i welded my material to the table , they said it didn't matter and eventually got a pretty good grade.
i had to choose what i wanted and chose mechanica engineering. i had an internship and worked a lot with MIG welding. i had to choose again because the technical world is big and has a lot of options, i doubted a lot and suddenly had to think of that first time, i thought it was amazing! ever since then, when i pull down my welding helmet i get into my own world and into focus, craving to lay a beautiful weld (ofcourse i make many mistakes because i'm just a beginner ) today i'm working on an certification MIG level two , i recently achieved my level one and i learn new things everyday.
i think you all will inspire me to this wonderfull welding world,
lots of love, casey.

Welcome, Casey!
You'll find a home here for any and all questions you may have on your journey. Some of us have been doing this more than 30 years, and we are constantly reminded how much we don't know, so pour on the questions. We all learn from each other here, and sometimes the questions that seem simple are the ones that teach us all the most.
Welcome to one very addictive practice, whether it's your job, your hobby, or your therapy.
