Hey yall, new here
Been welding for a while, but just bought my first tig earlier this year
Did a lil tig welding at a job I had quite a few years ago, but only mild steel and repetitious type things
All my welding skills are self taught / learned on the web
I'm here to learn as much as I can, learning to tig is kicking my butt, tho I do like the complexity and the challenge
I'm running a HTP Invertig 221, CK #9 torch with stubby gas lens, dual flow meter so I can easily back purge, using 2% Lanth in various sizes, and have a Striker digital hood
At some point I'll get around to building my own water cooler, I have everything but a few fittings and gizmos, and will be running a CK #20 flex neck torch then
I'm trying to pick up this form of welding soon as I can, I'm sick of my current occupation and would much rather be a fabricator
My main interest in stainless, but would like to be proficient in mild steel and aluminum also
Have a good'n yall
