Greetings from Florida!

Hello, everybody! Steve from Central Florida. I've been in I.T. for 20 years but got laid off almost a year ago(I was a bit over management's lip, anyway). I've hobby welded(Mig) for almost 30 years and been a car guy for 35(pops always told me I was "hard on equipment"). Over the past year I've done some fab work with my best friend(since 1st day of kindergarten) and another guy. I've had so much fun with this and we always talked about having a race shop since we were teens. In fact, we split a Daytona mig(Cebora 110V model) back in 1988 and just started welding stuff. Eventually we got pretty damn good with no internet or welders to guide us. So I just cashed in my retirement and bought a Miller Dynasty 280DX, SSC pedal, CK Torch, and 120CF bottle of Argon. Another one of our good welder friends donated a Tweco/Thermadyne TC900 with a worn Oberdorfer gear pump. Just r&r'd it with a Procon vane. Bought wheels, casters, and steel and built the cart. Anywho, Thanks for having me. Steve

Welcome, Steve!

This should be interesting! Using your retirement to turn a 30-year hobby serious can get addictive!

You've found the right forum, for sure.

Gary, if you're serious about having trouble putting up pic here, PM me, and I'll talk you through a few options.

I will in a couple of months, when I get moved into new digs and have my camera up and running.
Thanks, Steve!
