Rich here from Chicagoland,
Just introducing myself as a forum newbie.I've been welding for over 42 years in the aircraft, industrial, and motorsports field.Primarily in the tig welding format.Im looking forward to learning new tips and checking in on the projects of others.A couple things I have going on currently is a landspeed motorcycle (Suzuki GS 1100 based) to run the mile at Wilmington Ohio.I've got a 27 lakes style modified on 32 rails on my chassis jig in progress, powered by a turbocharged Toyota supra motor. Also creating my own motorcycle lift as well as a cherry picker on rollers as part of my chassis jig.Maybe to much going on,but it keeps me busy and the mind a whirling.
Look forward to being part of these forums and maybe contributing as time allows.Again hello and cheers. Rich

Welcome, Rich,

Our community is a remarkable place, with a little bit of everything, and folk at every level of experience, with the feel of a neighborhood barbeque.

Every addition enriches us... Every beginner reminds us of the basics (as we forget how to explain the things that have become second nature), and every new artist, race car/bicycle/motorcycle builder reminds us of the other amazing things welding can create. We also have engineers, instructors, and genuine "MacGyver" types that can build anything from almost nothing.

I've said before that while no one of us will ever truly master this field, the forum itself, from it's experience base, is the welding expert we all wish we were.
