So I've never actually welded but im only going to need to weld small plates to each other. I actually don't have a teacher or some one around who knows anything about welding, so I was looking for some tips and warnings, like is it possible to electrocute my self while welding? What should I watch out for will I explode? But anyways thanks for reading! And thank you in advance for any advice

Welcome, captainjason007,
It would help our community if you'd sign your name, or nickname. I'm going to assume "Jason" for now.
We're glad to help, but we'll need a few details.
What material are you welding? What process do you intend to use, i.e. TIG, MIG, Stick?
What equipment do you have available?
It's a more complex question than you posed to yourself already, isn't it?
We have almost every experience in almost anything possible here, so fire away, and we'll prod you with questions as you go along.
As stated, study the videos available at
www.weldingtipsandtricks.com for priceless hands-on advice for whatever you're trying to do.

So.
/Before you weld plates together you'll need a way to cut them.
After you cut them you'll need to grind them.
After you weld them you'll need to drill holes in them.
After you do that you'l need to paint them.
Now you'll need to bolt them to something so nobody steals them.
Do you have tools for all this ?
If not, just go take a welding class.
