I need to learn how to Tig weld. I weld in the oil Feld and now need to tig weld stainless 2-4 pipe. So looking for a portable tig that hooks up to my welder Lincoln Vantage 300 has remote hook up and or has AC 120,240, 380 outlet to plug in a unit. I weld on well heads, fab and weld anything and weld high pressure pipe. Looking to Tig in shut downs. This is a new field for me and looking for guidance how to get started.

All you need to weld SS with a portable DC welder is a bottle of Argon, a tig torch with a valve and some practice. You'll learn to scratch start the tungsten and feed the rod. Jody has more than one video on scratch start Tig on the main site, have a look and come back with questions more specific and we'll get you answers.
