My introduction to welding

Hello Fabricators. I'm Terry Jones. I started my intro to fab making slot machine parts in a precision sheet metal shop here in Reno. I was about 23 when I discovered an opening in the fab shop at the company I worked at. I had no idea what I was stepping into. I was just a skilless kid who had had enough of his supervisor and was looking for a change. I was assembling slots on an assembly line. I started out in deburr and soon found myself in front of a Amada CNC punch press. The rest was just nature taking its course. I fell in love with the trade and learned a lot in a short period of time. Inside of four years I was running a small proto shop doing QC programing brake work and anything I could learn. After 15 years I started Mobile Welding and Trailer Repair. Now I'm just hangin with the online welders and sharing some projects and ideas. Learning still and passing down a little knowledge as well.

Terry,
You found a place where most give as much as they take and we all learn from each other. Nobody here is measuring their manhood or putting down beginner's questions. Sounds like you'll be able to add to our ever growing knowledge base, so feel free to add anywhere you can.
