Living here for the last 11 years (it's the weather). Been welding off and on since about 1987, solely mig on steel. I co started a business making steel sawhorse legs and stands for miter and table saws for carpenters, but sold out of it. Another short lived business making small dump trailers, and now make a little square for tradesmen. I love thinking up ideas for gadgets, setting up jigs for production lines, and making and selling them --kind of a crazy thing to try to do in the US any more. I do a lot of carpentry also and weld up the occasional railings for decks, etc.
I am interested in learning to tig weld aluminum, but probably won't do that until I feel I have a real need for it.
I look forward to gaining information from the site, but probably not much to add as far as welding goes, but I do love to talk with and help anyone I can as far as taking an idea for a gadget beyond an idea. We've all got one. (first rule is don't tell anyone what it is)
Thanks, Larry

Larry,
Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself. I hope we can all help you when you are ready to tackle TIG. I have all sorts of ideas, some are good, others well....probably not  Welcome to the neighborhood.
