New guy introducing myself. Have decent amount of welding experience but mainly that was SkillsUSA competitions in highschool where i took 3rd at Nationals. So i consider myself as a beginner due to the fact that i haven't really welded in 5 yrs due to tour in military. Looking to use this site to gain good insight and experience as well further my career into welding.

Jerry,
First off, thank you for your service in the military.

This is a great place to learn and share knowledge. We have people here of all levels of experience from beginner to decades of welding. We all learn from questions asked and answered, so ask away. Your questions don't need to be limited to just the welding, but can be about fabrication or equipment related, or anything metal related, you'll probably find an answer here. The answer will usually be well thought out and researched. Disagreements are worked out with research not argument because most here want to know the true answer to your question, not just opinion.
