hi everyone, I might be a little early to this forum, but I have a question. I am starting welding school in 2 weeks and i'm wondering if I should review electricity and basic circuits? I went over my math upto trig and complex equations, and my blueprints (isometric drawings). Am I overlooking anything I should go over, its been 25 years since I was in school, Im a bit nervous.

Welcome to the group, as far as electricity and circuits, it never hurts to know it. In case you have to wire a garage to run a welder. ;) As far as necessary, I don't know, I never went to welding school. I am sure that others with more experience than me will answer here shortly. Welcome.

JUst do a quick study on welding polarities. They'll go over in class anyhow but you might as well do it now.

I am also just now starting to weld this year. I have decided to go with the pipiliner hood and an auto darkening lens. But my question is should i go for a name brand lens or a cheaper ebay lens. Looking for pros and cons
