Morning Everyone,
I'm a auto enthusiast/hobbyist and getting back to welding after a long hiatus. I did some arc welding with a Eastwood 50amp buzzbox 20-25 years ago. Learned that sun glasses do not protect you from UV rays. Ended up burning my eyes and was lucky I did not do permanent dammage. I was young and dumb.
I am currently building a Model A as a Father Son project and instead of farming out welding jobs figured I would like to do it myself.
After much research I purchased a Hobart Handler 140 and a couple Hobart auto darkening helmets. I am currently setup with flux core wire. My local weld supply shop is only open Mon-Fri and haven't got a chance to pick up any gas yet.
Looking forward to learning and getting some tips before I start doing any real welding. Just ran a few practice beads and need a lot more
Tom
