Hey guys,
Hi, my name is Mark. Let me start by saying I am not a weldor. But, I can turn the welder on a make some sparks. Well, perhaps a bit better than that. My normal day job is running a transmission shop called Berkshire Transmissions, located in North Adams, Massachusetts. Occasionally I get to use the mig welder, to weld exhaust or other little odds and ends. The mig I have is a Lincoln Mig-Pak 10. I've have it for about 12 years and it has served me pretty well. A couple years ago we had a Miller Dialarc 250 donated to the shop. I had remembered stick welding back when I was in high school. But now, it's like I am staring from zero again. After only using mig for so long, I think I am having trouble differentiating between metal and flux when using stick. Not sure. I guess I need to get some scrap and start welding to get in the swing of things.
This past weekend I picked up a Miller Syncrowave 300. I am excited to try it out after I figure out where in the shop to put it and get it wired in.
thanks,
Mark
