Hello Everyone,
From: Newbie, Jimbo C. here!
I have always been fascinated with welding, and various other crafts.
I recently revisited YouTube welding videos and was reminded how great a teacher Jody is. I decided I had to have his DVDs and a couple of TIG fingers to boot!
I’m 56 years on this planet so far and welding, inventing, fabricating, solving problems for friends and myself are exciting for me.
I make Acrylic windshields for a small but popular motorcycle as a side business.
My primary occupation has been as a paramedic for 32 years and the last 15 years on a fire department in So Cal.
I am slowly acquiring equipment for my shop and expanding my skill set to prepare for exiting my fire fighting career in 4-5 years. I don't believe in “Retirement” for me personally.
I’m pretty much a hobby level craftsman that needs to up my game in the welding dept. not just for fun but to transition and expand my options. This is not a resume, just letting you guys know a bit about me (possibly TMI “to much information”)
I look forward to learning and participating in this forum, and meeting some new friends. I’m grateful for you Jody and friends that are willing to share your experience, creative ideas, encouragement Etc..
Warm Regards:
Jimbo
