Hello, I am a new forum member and I am looking for information on welding some old automobile parts that are of what I would refer to as die cast aluminum. However, I believe this material has a content of zinc, aluminum and magnesium content. I am not sure of the percentages. Some one said it is or can be referred to as zamak or zamack not sure if this is even correct.
These parts are usually found on automobile door handles, steering column parts etc. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks,
Gary

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it.
