Hello Everyone so glad to join this site. I started welding with Oxy and acetylene as a kid . and slowly move up to a buzz box then mig and tig .
In high school my first job I got in a machine shop had met some very experience tradesmen who where willing to show me the ropes .
Then I start as an apprentice for a mechanic, completed this training and decided to follow in my father foot steps as a technician working for a company that built and repaired commercial food equipment world wide. I worked a lot with stainless steel welding with tig and mig.
Then I had an accident what left me wheelchair bound, where I have had to re-educate myself to life and learning how to weld all over again now I live on a farm now I have been building and fabricating things to able to do things on the farm.
I watch Jody on his videos and feel he is a great welder fabricator. having a person showing his skills world wide has gave great quality of learning to us all. hope to have interaction with forms.

Welcome, DJW,

We actually have another member who works from a wheelchair (though it doesn't come up in conversation, so I don't remember who that member is), and if he's still active, perhaps you can share ideas and innovations that help with the positioning restrictions that I assume you must be forced to work with.

You'll find this forum a great sourse of information for almost anything you can imagine related to welding, including several talented mechanics and machinists.

Welcome to the site DJW. Lots of helpful folks around here if you ever have a question about anything fire away. Most of us love figuring out things.
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
