Hi I've been an Arizona resident for 46 years an did a 4 year hitch in the US Navy as a fire control tech.I'm a Vietnam Vet who is disabled. I worked for 30 years at Honeywell/Allied Signal in Phoenix an Tempe. I was a NDT Supervisor/level III in zyglo, magnetic particle,x-ray,an visual weld inspection. Just wish I had learned more at work about welding when I had the chance. Right now I just picked up for Christmas a little flux core unit an trying to save up for the helmet. Looking at a miller classic series I here it is a good helmet to start with. I will be just doing a little hobby welding an will get a better mig welder probably the miller 211 if I can physically do any welding.

Howdy! You've got me beat by a few years, but I don't live too far from that plant. I've been a lifelong woodworker, jumping into metalworking head first with TIG. I'm gonna see how much of a metal shop I can build before my wife catches on.
Cheers,
Richard
