Just getting more into welding. I have had a Millermatic 130XP MIG machine for several years, but never even hooked up the gas. I have just run flux-core wire on it, and maybe used it a handful of times.

I recently purchase my first TIG/Stick machine; It is an AHP AlphaTIG 200X. I am waiting to pick up my argon, but have picked up some 3/32 7018's and have started to play with it.

I am very interested in fabrication, tracked vehicles, 4x4 & off road, firearms, renewable energy, basically anything that involves metal and welding.

I have a riding lawnmower and a 1982 BMW 320i that will be my first project vehicles. I don't care what I do with them as long as they are drivable... Even if it is only in the 4th of July parade.

My oldest son and I are also in the middle of swapping a cummins 4bt into our GMC K3500 that originally had the 6.5L turbo diesel in it.

Plenty of opportunities to use welding.

Anyway - This is just a hello post, so hello :)

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Sounds like you and your son have plenty of things to keep you busy.
Welcome to our little corner of the internet.
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
