Hello,
I've been watching the youtube videos for awhile and reading about all the welder comparisons and thought I'd like to chime in with my 2 cents.
I've been welding for about 35 years, oxy, stick, mig, and tig. Mostly self taught and a lot of book learning, but I did take a TIG class at a local community college. Thought I could pick up some of the finer points but ended up teaching the class as the instructor was only experienced with stick. It was great practice.
I do restoration and custom work as well as build molds for composite parts. If you want to try something fun try oxy-acetylene welding aluminum. It's a bit challenging but works great for parts that you shape in an English wheel.
I look forward to reading about member's projects and learning some new tips.
Best regards,
Mike
