I just took the plunge and purchased myself a Powertig 200DX.... I'm currently building a race car and need the tig machine to do some fabbing of parts needed for the car... I'm a noob... i've never touched a welder in my life... and am just about to unbox the machine and buy the neccessary stuff to get myself moving in the right direction..
Thanks
Sam

Awesome, welcome to the forum and to the trade. Have a look around your area for welding courses to give you a leg up with learning.

Welcome to the site Sam! If you are working with tubing on the car you might like this tube coping program. http://metalgeek.com/static/cope_custom.pcgi. Plug in our numbers and print a paper pattern to notch your joint.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out Jody's videos. They are very informative and there's a button at the top of the page to take you there.
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
