Welcome.

Probably the welding codes are a little different in Europe than other places across the globe.
Do you do any cellulose rod (6010 etc.) downhill on the pipelines?

Welcome, Carlo,

Don't worry about your skills in English. I know people for whom English is their only language who are harder to understand.

Again, Benvenuti!

U.S. is ANSI and Europe is UNI but Citoflex (6010) is standard, many use a citoflex , but now in a raffinery prefer a tig 1° pass and 2° & final pass 7018 or PH35 S

Tnx 4 all

Italianwelder.

Is that citoflex (6010)for the root pass ever used downhill (welding from top to bottom)?
How does that PH35-S rod weld compared to other major brands (for example like Lincoln, Esab, Kobe, etc.)?

Tanks.

This mode (downhill) is not accept here 1°st pass 6010 upright and 2° et 3° pass only basic electrode, here call this mode of weld (downhill) "american mode". All refinery (ENI, Snam etc...) in europe is not legal, PH35 S is a good basic electrode make from Philips is many workable,Esab for pipe is too hard is good for Steel construction ( for my personally) Lincoln i a good for all employ, here i use Oerlikon electrode Oerlikon make a PH 35 S basic electrode
