Howdy all,
Just joined up to read and learn and improve my skills. I learned to stick in the 70's, then did not weld for a long time. past 10 years or so I have been hit and miss with stick and mig. I had a Eastwood 175 and a small Hobart Stick welder. I recently purchased a Miller millermatic 215 with the TIG gun. I've been working on the mig welding quite a bit, got all the needed things for TIG and have tried that once so far. I'm a total noob @ TIG. I've been browsing the forums and its looks like this will be an excellent resource for me to improve. Looking forward to being a active member here. I'll start a thread in the Mig forum soon and post some pics for feedback.

Thanks
Kenny

Hi Ken and welcome. Good on you for the stick approach. You will find that the learning curve for tig is much steeper than the other forms of welding...but like everyone else you will get a grip on it. It does take lots of practice and a whole bunch of patience. LOTS of great folks in here and willing to help.
