I’m new to the Forum, I’m a beginner welder with just a couple of classes under my belt, really looking forward to learning as much as possible.

I know it sounds crazy, but Alan is the 1st person to catch the meaning of my email address right out of the chute. Usually takes a couple of times and some explaining. Well done!!

But funny enough, I almost flunked Spanish in high school, I got a D- because I never did my homework. But I learned to speak some Spanish in South Central L.A. where I worked for my family in a liquor store. It was way more useful than asking for a fork or a glass of water, or about your house... I learned more practical stuff that you would use in the real world...
That said, I lived in Japan for 5 years, they use the same verb on the end of the sentence, so these days I start substituting Japanese when I try to speak too much Spanish...
What type of welding are you interested in?

My families liquor store was at Long Beach Blvd. & Tweedy, a few blocks from where the old GM plant used to be. not the best area, kinda between Watts and Compton...I believe Long Beach Blvd. runs all the way down to Long Beach but not quite to the ocean...Fuegoman11 wrote:Shout out to South Central!! Tig is great, I love it. So mesmerizing. do you have a machine and bottle at home? Some great welders to get advice from on here, probably not me though...
I'm just learning myself...
