Hello! I'm glad to meet you great welders here!
I'm from Seoul, South Korea and 23 years old of noob welder
I was a normal office worker but I got bored and stresses in the office job
and got sick of them then I decided to become a welder 8-)

And one of the biggest reasons is I want to be a experienced or professional welder then I'll try to move to USA or Canada and gonna get a job in there. Also one of reasons is my baby girl is American So I need to learn a skill which needed from everywhere if I could be with her Also need to learn English more tho lol
anyways! I think about Alaska or Texas if I could get a work permit or get a job.

I've been learning about TIG Mostly and SMAW since 2 month ago in the private educational institute
and gonna learn basic level of MIG soon.then I'll go to industrial places and gonna make my skills better in 2-3 months
For now, I can weld 2~6 inch Carbon steel pipes and 2~6 inch Stainless steel pipes.
I mostly handle Carbon steel ones

So I'll be here and share about welding experiences and knowledge with you excellent welders!
Thanks for reading. Nice to meet you again. Have a good day.

Dallas is far up north, that's cheating. Come down to South Texas and it's a whole 'nother ballgame.

That guy is in South Korea, next month will be like a sauna for him...you can literally wring the sweat out of your shirt during August throughout Asia...I think he know hot and humid well...

What type of welders do you get in Korea? Do they make decent inverters there? They seem to be leading on quite a bit of electronics these days, better quality than China for sure.

I've been there a number of times, I used to like to go to sae-woo san-ga (sp?), and of course shopped some in the Itaewon. I remember buying my wife a bunch of clothes there before we were married, some she wore and some not.

I bet you guys got some good inverters.

O man it’s already hot and humid enough here yeah and the hella raining season has coming soon
that’s interesting You’ve looked around Korea itaewon and so on. So that’s why you know well about weather here.
Mm btw I don’t know well about equiments but I think lots of Korean welders use imported ones.
