New scrub welder here

Good snowy afternoon here from Ohio where the weathermen can't get it right to save themselves. I have been interested in welding for a long time but my military career took my down the path of jet engine mechanic. I interacted frequently with the welding crews to repair those work horse engines just never welded. I have been looking for a good deal on a modest MIG/TIG or acetylene rig for a while. A deal came my way on a floor model Lincoln pro-mig 140 at a great price, the only deal was it was missing everything. I should have the last of it except the gas today. I have watched a ton of Jody's videos. Tig machines are out of my price range. I set my max price at $300, if I could get a machine under that I was golden.
I am a woodworker, I have made stuff around the house, nothing for sale. I have made a few things on my mini lathe. Now its time to add welding to my jack of all trades, master of none...
