So I've watched probably every video on welding out there on youtube and I think I'm getting ready to give it a shot. I have limited room in a single car garage workshop and I want to be able to fabricate some tool shelving and whatever else I can think of.

I have the opportunity to pick up the Hobart 210 MVP for $650 and it looks like it's pretty good for a beginner, but any obvious reason why I should avoid it? Thanks and keep the content coming guys, love watching/reading all I can.

That's a great machine for a home hobbyist! Make sure you run a dedicated 240v circuit for your welder properly sized with wire and circuit breaker. The last thing you want to do is limit yourself on the range of the machine or burn up your garage.

Rite of passage to is to build your own welding cart, then a table of some sort. Those things make everything else easier by a wide margin. And you can get some much needed practice in while doing so.
