Hi
I have posted a lengthy introduction but failed to inform you where I reside.

I am from Brisbane, Queensland Australia situated in the Southern Hemisphere on Earth somewhere in the Universe, on the interior side which is dryer than the coastal side. ;) I love self help projects and work with wood and metal. Give me anything broken and I'll try to fix it. I'm not materialistic but am permanently disabled suffering from serious PTSD so unemployable as I'm considered to dangerous in a work environment so quit isolate myself. I have a bit of a workshop where I fit a lathe, table saw, router table and planer/thicknesser and workbench into. Bit cramped, about half of a single garage but comfotable where I spend many enjoyable hours doing things.

Thats me. Thanks for reading.

Welcome from the US. Society isn’t all the average people think it is. Feel free to ask any question or speak your mind.

Ah I see you are in Ipswich. Couldn't see that from Tapatalk. You're too far from me.
Your trailer project needs to have good welding strength. For 2mm square tube I wouldn't go with any of the rods you mention. I would recommend E4816 (7016) rods, gives penetration, strength and no slag inclusion worries like you can get with 6013 etc. Plenty of brands to choose from LWS, on-line etc. Hold a tight arc, don't worry about rod oven for what you are doing unless you want too.
