Hello From TN,
I'm SamV and I got addicted to Jody's Videos on my latest trip to Afghanistan and they have really upped my game. I work in an Aviation repair shop so currently I'm trying to get the chops to weld 0.016" Inconel and 0.020" Hastalloy with the future looking at Titanium. Saved up some money to get a welding machine for the house to practice and take on some odd jobs.

As far as the inconel and hastelloy, is this scrap material you have, or actual parts that need to be welded?

The Inconel, Hastelloy and Titanium are actual aircraft parts to be welded at work. Right now these parts have to be sent away to civilian contractors to be repaired. In Afghanistan this meant the parts taking a one hour flight and a one week or so turn around. My shop is next to the hanger with the aircraft, same day service. Right now I'm practicing on Stainless because it's available in my job.
