My name is Mike. I've been an auto mechanic for 15 years. I have very little experience with welding. Most of what I weld is on my own stuff at home. I live in New York, so I am very experienced with a torch. I have a few projects that I want to try to tackle on my own, but my lack of funds may be outweighed by my inability to make decent welds. I'm hoping to be able to find some guidance, and a few tips from some more experienced welders here.

For automotive, a decent MIG welder will take you a LONG way. Heck even a 110v machine is probably all you’ll need, but a 240v/120v would be better.
