Hi all from down under Australia. I have recently bought a Rossi 620is tig/plasma. it has a switch on the tig torch going down to a two prong connector at the unit. is there any reason why I cannot connect a simple on off foot switch. The amps still controlled via the machine. I know this unit is not heavy duty but it is doing ok so far. kind regards John

No reason you can't.

When you use a regular foot control, there is a switch and a rheostat of some type inside.

Sometimes I just set my machine to "panel" and use the foot control for on-off only.
