Hi all,
I've been watching and learning welding videos since anyone started making them. I taught myself to weld first with oxy gas, then mig (110 miller 130xp) and then TIG (miller Econo TIG).
At first I just welded for fun. Then... about 8 years ago I walked away from a lifetime in retail, took a few years off, and now I'm attempting to make a living out of my garage/basement.
I started by making things for the house and yard, and it kind of grew from there.
I think the best thing I've made is my Mjolnir... I sell things at craft fairs and at

I found myself needing to weld thicker steel than the 130xp could do (at 110V), and my budget is severely limited, so I got myself a harbor freight Vulcan Migmax. It does not weld as nice as the miller, and it allow me to weld what I need to weld, so... yeah.
I often lurk on these forums because I don't feel like I have all that much to add most of the time... my experience is limited to what I've taught myself, and what I've been able to figure out. However... if you want to know how to make a large welded steel Mjolnir I'm your man!
