Just wanted to post some info. I have been welding for about 10 years in the back yard. I purchased my first tig machine 3 years ago and I would describe myself as proficient. Not pro status. I hold a master electrical licence, master hvac license, gas fitters license and sheet metal license. I hate damn licenses. I am an inventor because I hold a us patent but the only person who has made money from the invention is my lawyer
I apprenticed with a blacksmith for about 4 months until we moved and I do miss sasha the blacksmith. I have learned all my welding from forums like this, internet videos, Jody being my favorite, and good old practice.
