Hi,
I live on a farm in southeast Georgia and work in Operations at a nuclear power plant.
I consider myself to be a barely successful hobby welder, at best. My welding mainly consists of repairing farm equipment that my Dad manages to break or stuff that wears out such as sheet metal repairs on a grain wagon or reinforcing a calf feeder, etc. Every now and then I'll build a fixture for a restoration project I'm working on.
I recently built my own red iron building, taking it from raw steel to a fabricated package with only a small Lincoln Mig welder and a Hypertherm plasma cutter.
I'd like to build a CNC table for my plasma cutter and plan to add a decent higher end tig machine. I'd like to do enough light fab or CNC work to partially pay for this habit/passion/disease.
I'll lurk for a long time and search and read and do my best no to ask the same questions that have been asked a hundred times before. I'm here to learn.
