I joined the forum to see if I could improve my welding skills. I have been watching Jodys vlds on YouTube. I bought a Lincoln tig 175 over 10 yrs ago to try my hand at welding aluminum. I didn't go so well , so I pushed it in the corner and concentrated on mig. Last week I decided to try it again welding a downpipe for my mustang.

Welcome to the forum! A lot of guys are self-taught through Jody's videos, you're in good company. You might find it easier to cut your teeth on steel, since it's a little more forgiving, and then move on to aluminum. Let us know how it goes!
