hello everyone ! I wanted to take some time to introduce myself to the welding community :)

My name is mike and I have a very blessed story to share .

2015-2016 was a rough couple of years for me and now that we are coming to a close of 2016 and looking forward to a new year i wanted to take the time and tell everyone how i came into welding .

A lot happened in 2015-2016 . got laid off from the oil field in jan 2015. found out me and my gf were expecting a baby . Found a job in San Antonio got fired from that Job . We lost the baby in Aug. we bought our first home in sep. but with the loss of our baby we felt so broken we were missing something so God pressed it on my heart to marry her. We got married we had another baby on the way. But we weren't out of the woods yet i still needed a job . with a new mortgage and a baby with two kids already God blessed me with a great paying job but knew i wanted out of the truck driving industry . so i decided i wanted to make a career change.

I asked God what can i do. what can i learn, something i can do with my hands something that i can be proud of ??

The Bible says God will open doors for you no man can shut .

I believe that I went to a trade school looking into the options they had . There was hvac auto-mechanic and welding . I choose welding and the tuition fee was a crazy $20,000 for 12 months !!!!

I didnt have a job at the time i was looking into school i had no money so i prayed and asked God if your willing please let me be able to go to school and learn this trade i Know you can provide i know you love those who love you and i love you Jesus . So In the end I got 20,000 worth of pell grants !!! the office lady was like

OMG ive never seen anyone get so much and it took 3 months to go over and review everything because the school wanted me to pay some sort of payment so they can make some money off me but i refused and said look its all there the $20,000 why are you trying to charge me all these fees and in the end they dropped all the fees and didnt charge me a dime !!!! So ive been very blessed . I know something happened and we cant explain why .I first lost my job then my son passed away we had no money to get married i felt trapped. But i knew if i just stayed faithful, God would provide and he did . the bible says Faith is believing in the things unseen . SO i may not be the best welder now but i believe i can be a great tig welder one day and you can to !!! Im sorry if the flow of the story was a little off im not a good blogger but i hope this motivates you !!!

ILL be graduating in march of 2017 debt free and that has been such a blessing :)

That's quite story...you've been through a lot lately, haven't you?

Welcome from a fellow believer, although I don't yet believe that I can weld very well.
