Hello, I joined this forum after having viewed many Welding Tips and Tricks videos. I absolutely love Jody's approach to exploring and explaining welds and welding. I am a Red Seal Journeyman Fabricator from Canada who has recently completed a Welding Engineering Technology program to obtain the Level 1 CWB inspector status. I am currently working for an engineer to develop welding procedures and help our retained companies obtain and maintain their CWB certification which is necessary in Canada if a shop wants to fabricate and weld structural steel. Working in an office, I often times miss burning rods and putting steel together but I intend on purchasing either a multi-process welder to allow me to TIG or a small portable engine-driven welder to start doing jobs on the side. I am glad to be a part of this forum.
