I retired a few years ago and have more time to repair and build things around our small farm. I learned gas and stick welding in '72 when I was in college and worked part time in the physics machine shop. Back then tig was so expensive no one taught it because no one could afford a machine. I've done some gas and stick welding over the years, but last year decided to go to the community college and take a couple welding courses. It was great, they have about 30 machines of various brands and models, so I got to try a lot of things out and decided tig was the right fit for me, primarily because I often weld in a barn or around hay or other things that burn easily. I bought a Lincoln Square Wave 200 about 2 months ago and love it, got a good deal down at the local Airgas store because I was a student at the community college. I just built a stand for my wife's horse to get up and do tricks on, I've got some other things on the list to build. I enjoy Jody's videos, they've been a great help to me.
