Hi y'all. I'm new to this field and am set to graduate from Ozarks Technical Community College 20 week accelerated welding course at the end of this month, May, 2016. I got started on this career course a bit late in life (I'm currently 51) but am eager to learn more.

The processes we have studied in the course are FCAW (which I certified in the 1G position), GMAW, GTAW and SMAW. I know this is only a basic introduction, but as I've already said, I'm eager to learn more and hopefully find work in this field SOON.

Welcome!

Your age is rather close to mine, and I went to school at SMSU. Spent very many years in southern MO. Loved the country and the culture. Found it hard to make a real living.

I'm not native to southern Missouri (Missouri at all for that matter), but this is an absolutely beautiful area of the country.
